Payment & Policies

Do you accept insurance?
Begin to Bloom is a private-pay practice and does not contract with insurance plans.

Why are services private pay?
Private pay allows us to focus entirely on your baby’s unique needs without the constraints of insurance approvals or limited session times. This means more personalized care, flexible scheduling, and continuity with a single trusted provider who knows your family’s story.

What are your rates?
Rates vary by service. Transparent pricing and a Good Faith Estimate are provided before care begins.

Do you provide superbills?
Yes. Superbills are available so families may seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance if applicable. These are available both for lactation services and feeding therapy.

Why is feeding therapy billed under my baby?
Feeding therapy addresses an infant’s feeding skills and development. The infant is the patient receiving occupational therapy services.

Why are lactation services billed under the parent?

Lactation services are considered care for the lactating parent, even though the baby is present. These services focus on milk production, breastfeeding mechanics, comfort, and education.

What if my family needs both services?
Some families benefit from both lactation support and feeding therapy. These services are billed separately, with different codes and fees, and may occur in separate visits.

Does Begin to Bloom guarantee insurance reimbursement?
No. While we provide accurate documentation, reimbursement decisions are made solely by insurance companies.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. This estimate outlines the anticipated cost of services and is provided to all families prior to starting care.

Same-day cancellations due to illness are handled with care and understanding. Late cancellations or missed appointments may otherwise be subject to the full session fee.
